Welcome Celebration PGY'2 and Fellows


Georgetown University Medical Center and MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital PM&R Residency Training Program, is an ACGME accredited program, with a four-year categorical educational curriculum (beginning at the PGY1 level) that prepares residents for both clinical and academic practice.  Residents will spend their PGY1 alongside the MedStar Washington Hospital Center interns in Preliminary Medicine and will complete PGY2-4 at the MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital.

The program strives to fulfill MedStar NRH's mission of Adding Life to Years® - enhancing the quality of life of persons with injuries and disabling illness so that they can achieve the highest possible level of independence and function, providing education and training in injury and disease management to rehabilitation professionals and the community, and advancing knowledge through rehabilitation research.

All residents are required to obtain competence in the six areas listed below, to the level expected of a new practitioner:
