Why NRH? I wanted a residency program that offered excellent clinical training with ample opportunities to pursue research and gain hands-on procedure experiences. On interview day, I felt welcomed by everyone I met and was impressed by the unique features NRH offered, such as the NIH research and ultrasound tracks. I found that the faculty, staff and residents all seemed to really enjoy working with each other and their camaraderie and closeness stood out. In addition, the NRH leadership has an outstanding track record of preparing their residents well for either the workplace or matching into top fellowship programs across the country. In the end, I trusted my gut about NRH and I’m happy to call DC home for the next 4 years!
