DR. SHASHWATI GEED WINS THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION AWARD

Dr. Geed, a neuroscientist and physical therapist, received her PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, one of the finest programs in the country. She followed her PhD with a post-doctoral fellowship at Medstar NRH, where she works with Dr. Alexander Dromerick in the studies of arm motor function. Dr. Geed’s study titled: Shoulder and Hand Function Improvement after Stroke (SHIPS), examines how the brain controls hand movements after stroke.
