Shashwati Geed, PhD Receives MHRI New Investigator Grant and Latham Foundation Award

This year, our very own Shashwati Geed, PhD, PT has been been awarded two grants. She received the MedStar Health Research Institute (MHRI) New Investigator grant to study neurophysiology of cortical interneurons and their role in critical period plasticity after stroke. Dr. Geed was also awarded the Latham Foundation grant to study the genetic variants that influence neuroplasticity and motor recovery after stroke.
