Why NRH? When I rotated at NRH as a fourth-year medical student, I was so impressed with the culture here. The residents were each passionate about their work and research. They seemed to genuinely enjoy coming to work each day and had great camaraderie. The faculty were invested in the education of their residents and students. The program leadership was continually striving to improve rotations, didactics, training experiences and extracurricular offerings. I think NRH provides a great balance between rigor and well-being, independence and mentorship. This culture, combined with its many unique opportunities (research at the NIH, extensive ultrasound training, continuity clinic, cancer rehab, EMG at Walter Reed, etc), makes MedStar Georgetown/NRH a fantastic place to train.
