NTRAIN K12 Scholar Ania Busza Awarded K23
Posted in Announcements NTRAIN News
Ania Busza recently received a K23 award from the NINDS to support a longitudinal study on how motor impairments evolve over the first 6 months after a stroke. As part of the K23-funded research, she will use an electromyographic computer interface that she developed during her time as a NTRAIN K12 scholar in order to collect EMG data over multiple time points after stroke. She will also receive further training in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and advanced neuroimaging techniques, and is hoping the study will lead to a better understanding of which factors early-post stroke predict the development of specific types of motor impairment.
